Clackmannanshire Economic Regeneration Trust (CERT) is delighted to announce the appointment of David Stewart as its new CEO. 

With over twenty years’ experience within the voluntary and private sectors and operating across employability, health, social enterprise and business development settings, David brings a wealth of experience to CERT. David joins CERT from Fedcap Employment where he is Partnerships and Stakeholder Manager, covering 80 local authorities across Scotland and the north of England.   

David says, “I am really looking forward to joining CERT next month to support and lead the team to deliver CERT’s vision for Clacks as a vibrant place to live where people are happy, healthy and where opportunities, connections and support are available for all. CERT has a strong foundation and a dedicated and skilled team and I am hugely excited to work alongside them, our partners and of course local people to drive innovation, growth and long-term success”. 

CERT’s Chair, Jean Hamilton says, “We are very pleased to welcome David to CERT. With his proven leadership and breadth of expertise, we are looking forward to David leading us into our next stage of operation where we will be able to generate even more benefits to the residents of Clacks". 

David joins CERT on 14 April 2025.
